Is Sergio Rossi for sale? the Italian footwear company owned by Kering, is said to have been placed in the shop window, with interest already building!!
Although Kering officials have not yet confirmed the whispers, WWD reports that the French conglomerate - which did not mention Rossi as one of its main performers at its third-quarter results presentation back in October - is looking to off load the small shoes specialist, and is confident that it can achieve a fairly good price.
Kering, then called Gucci Group, acquired 70% of Sergio Rossi in 1999 - in the same period that Tom Ford, then creative director of Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, helped bring designers including Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen into the fold.
